OIAM Community: Hub ad Spoke

Life beyond the classroom is a crucial part of our unique vision. We make sure our curriculum is supported with high quality and varied Enrichment programmes.

These activities are based on our three themed areas: Sports, Arts and Enterprise. This provides opportunities for students to participate in clubs, trips and events, which broaden and enrich individual learning. In turn, providing physical, social, cultural, creative and charitable experiences. They are delivered by the very best teachers and include coaches from our community partners Bradford City, Bradford Bulls and Yorkshire Cricket, who have experienced excellence as practitioners.

In addition, as part of our Hub and Spoke model, we collaborate with our colleagues in OIAM Charity. Students who show an apititude in a particular area are encourged to attend one of our Development Groups, where they will participate alongside children from our OIAM Community Hubs. We feel it is extremely important that we work with the local community, businesses and organisations to secure our place at the heart of the One In A Million Community.

We have a thriving and active Parent Forum, which organises a Breakfast Club, events and fundraising activities to support the school and to bring parents together as a community. We also access colleagues and expertise from the OIAM Charity’s Corporate Partners Programme.
