At One In A Million we really value the support of local schools that fundraise to support children & young people living in disadvantaged communities of Bradford.
We would love your school to get involved whether its holding your own fundraising event or asking us to bring our popular penalty shootout competition against Billy Bantam the Bradford City AFC mascot.
The One In A Million Penalty Shoot out
The One In A Million Penalty shootout is an organised fun afternoon with our fantastic community team who will engage and inspire your children to support OIAM’s work in the Bradford community.
How does it work:
- A pre event assembly to inspire your young people, with the OIAM team and a special appearance from Billy Bantam himself.
- Organised fundraising packs and letters for your children.
- OIAM sticker for all children who take part.
- Great prizes for children who raise sponsorship.
- Post event prize giving assembly to celebrate our achievement.
- Certificate of achievement for your school.
We recently worked with Riddlesden St. Mary’s Primary School. Here is what Headteacher Linda Wright said about it, “The children had lots of fun and we clearly have some budding footballers in school (both boys and girls). We are very proud of what the children have achieved, raising our highest amount so far to support a fantastic local charity like One In A Million”.
Other fundraising ideas:
- Art competition
- Cake sale
- Dress down day
- The OIAM schools Pen-y-ghent challenge
- Sponsored walk
- Sports Day
Why schools fundraising is so important to us
Because we believe that every child is ‘one in a million’ and should be given opportunities despite their background and circumstances. OIAM has been delivering community based projects for over 10 years in the Bradford Metropilitan District and we would like your young people to engage and support other children in their local community for the next 10 years.
For more information about our schools fundraisers, please contact our fundraising team at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01274 723439.
We would love to send one of our team to visit your school to give a presentation about the work of One In A Million charity and fundraising in schools.
