8 girls from One In A Million attended the North Women In Sport Conference at the Alhambra Theatre on Tuesday 7th March. The event which was organised by Women In Sport ambassador Kate Hardcastle and co-hosted by Tanya Arnold (BBC Sport) and Kate Hardcastle celebrated todays Women & Girls in Sport.
The event was saw over 20 inspirational speakers sharing insights and debating real issues to over 50 students and150 guests raging from 8 – 70 year old also driving the importance of keeping fit and staying healthy.
The girls were really inspired by the stories there heard and were thrilled to meet and have photos with Paralympian Gold Medalist Claire Cashmore and Rising Taekwondo Star Harleen Kaur who also just recently took home an Award at the 2017 Bradford Sports Awards.
Women in Sport is a charity that is transforming sport for the benefit of every woman and girl in the UK.
