Let’s Celebrate World Book Day – Thursday 8th March 2018

The revised date for our World Book Day 2018 is Thursday 8th March!

“Dear Students, Parents, Carers,

As promised, we haven’t just forgotten about World Book Day even though it was snowed off last week!  How many of you took part in the challenges Mrs. Wright set for you to do on the day?  It’s still not too late to send her stories or pictures for display in school!

Get your costumes ready for the day and be prepared to show your love for a Literary character or figure: Anyone who arrives in costume will be awarded 10 Positive Points towards their personal awards.  A contribution to the Readathon charity of £1 is suggested if you choose to come dressed up.  There is no expectation that anyone has to participate.  If you don’t then arrive in full uniform for the day.

Should you be stuck for ideas, please have a look at the World Book Day website:

www.worldbookday.com

Should you have any further questions, please contact your child’s form tutor via their planner as usual, unless urgent.

At OIAM, we always value the impact that regular reading and good literacy skills can have on your future prospects: So come on and join in the fun”.

Yours faithfully
Mrs. K. Wright
OIAMFS Director of Arts.
