We count it a privilege that somebody of David’s stature and busyness is also a non-executive director of the enterprise arm of the One In A Million Charity and is a governor at the One In A Million Free School!
David is passionate about the long term economic wellbeing of our city and commenting on the recent news that PwC are planning to open an office in Bradford, David said, “We plan to make Bradford district one of the most dynamic places to do business in the UK. Clearly companies such as PwC are recognising our efforts to grow our economy by increasing the number of productive businesses in the district, leading innovation and investment and building on our strategic assets – our people, our businesses and our places”.
David has a real passion for creating opportunity for the young people of Bradford and a key cornerstone to the Economic Strategy is the education and employment opportunities for the young people of this city, given Bradford has the youngest population in the country with over 25% of all residents being under the age of 18.
David says, “One In A Million holds a special place in my heart as it is making a real difference to the young people of Bradford who most need the support and inspiration to help them realise their full potential. It is truly an organisation of actions and not simply words. It is my pleasure to be speaking and supporting their Annual Business Lunch”.
