Polite. Respectful. Talented. Humble.
Hagie began attending OIAM Free School as a student in 2016 after moving to England from Spain. His polite attitude and charming manners instantly helped him to make a good group of friends in school.
As a keen football enthusiast he started attending after-school Football Enrichment led by OIAM Charity Community Activator, Gurmit Chand. Gurmit encouraged Hagie and his friends to enter a team into the Charity’s Streetwise Football programme that runs every Friday night
OIAM Community Pathways Officer, Danny Forrest said, “During his time attending OIAM Football activities, Hagie’s excellence shines brightly. He is an outstanding, courageous goalkeeper and yet, he has the ability to play in any position across the pitch! It is not surprising that his talent as been recognised by Bradford City Football Club; a Community partner of OIAM. Despite being only 16 years old, he is now part of the Under 18’s 1st team squad”.
Hagie also completed his Sports Leader Award last summer when children from our Community Hub’s and School all mixed and learned together.
In school, he is a keen member of the Integrity House Group and is also a trusted face on many of the school’s promotional literature.
Danny Forrest added, “Despite having all of this talent, it is his wonderful character and values that stands out to us! He is incredibly humble and down to earth. His temperament stands out during competitive sports. He is calm and compassionate in adding value to others around him. He is a joy to be around”.
Hagie is maturing into a great sporting role model. We celebrate his Community and sporting achievements. Hagie, your future is bright. You are… ‘one in a million’.
