Weather Update: Our school ‘building’ is closed on Tuesday (2nd Feb). Zoom lessons & remote learning will continue online.

Dear Parent/Carer,

Due to the heavy snow throughout the night, which continues to fall and has settled on the roads and streets across the city, OIAM Free School has taken the decision to close the school building today. The difficult access to the site when snow and significant ice are in place is a concern and does not meet our Health and Safety requirements.

This is a difficult decision to make as we are committed to supporting our keyworkers and previously identified groups. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this may cause everyone but your child’s safety is our top priority! We will continue to monitor the situation and with a view to opening up once it is safe to do so.

We are pleased to say that learning will continue as planned online through the Zoom lessons and remote tasks set on Class Charts.

We will keep all parents/carers up to date on when the school will next be open for keyworkers and previously identified groups via text message alert.

For all other external guests, we will provide additional updates through the One In A Million Facebook and Twitter pages. If you are not already following us – now might be a good time!

Kind Regards,
Mr Rees, Principal
