We believe in 8 key outcomes:

Each of these outcomes apply to all groups from Year’s 3-6, and we constantly revisit each of them throughout all our subjects.

  1. Be healthy
  2. Stay safe
  3. Enjoy & achieve
  4. Make a positive contribution
  5. Economic well being
  6. Respect for self & others
  7. Teamwork helps us win
  8. Inform lifestyle choices

Positive Lifestyle is an out-of-school experience. Workshops begin with a visit to the Bradford City football stadium. This includes having a pitch side tour, before going into OIAM Free School where we work with pupils to explore different life skills.

We have qualified staff who are supported by various agencies including departments from Bradford Council, School Nurses from Primary Care Trusts, the School Liason Officers from West Yorkshire Police and volunteers.

Positive Lifestyle is able to provide varied training provision for pupils of all ages and abilities. It delivers ‘prevention education’ programmes covering subjects from the Personal, Social, Health and Economic education framework (PSHEe) whilst complementing the ongoing work of Primary Schools. We cover lifestyle topics to prevent accidents, ill health, emotional, physical and mental abuse, racist behaviour, drug abuse (legal and illegal), spreading germs, and anti social behaviour.

Our teaching style and content is unique – enhancing the whole experience for participants.
