Summer School Day 3: Students Excel At ‘Another World Adventure Centre’!

28th July 2021. Day 3 of our Transition Summer School saw the students visit the fabulous Another World Adventure Centre.

They had an amazing time getting to build go-karts and race them, zorbing, archery, paint balling and tobogganing.

Judging by the feedback from everyone it’s fair to say that there was lots of first-time experiences for almost everyone!

Staff from the Centre could not speak more highly of the students' behaviour, resilience and attitude to learning. We would also like to reciprocate our appreciation to their staff who contributed to giving our students a day to remember!

Jonathan Martin, OIAM Free School Community Manager said, “Well done to all the students. They have excelled themselves. It was wonderful watching the social inclusion, interaction and team building taking place throughout the activities. There are lots of new friendships blossoming as a result of this week, which will stand them all in good stead for transitioning to secondary school in September. The great news is there are still two more days of summer school to go!”.

A big thank you to all our brilliant staff and volunteers, which included some of our former Year 11s returning to school to help!
