Announcement: Principal Mr Rees Is Leaving The School This Summer. Mrs Hobbs Will Become Acting-Principal.
Dear Parent/Carers,
I am writing to inform you that Principal Mr Rees will be leaving us at the end of the summer term to take up a new post in Lincolnshire.
We are all sorry to see Mr Rees go. Since taking up his post in February 2019, Mr Rees has worked tirelessly to support his students, staff and the One In A Million Free School. He and his team's work throughout the Covid pandemic have been exemplary. We are all sad to see him go, but he goes with our thanks and best wishes for the future.
Mr Rees (pictured below) will remain fully involved as Principal for the remainder of the academic year; focusing on seeing students through their current exam cycle, and a thorough handover to his successor.
I am pleased to report that our Senior Vice Principal Mrs Hobbs will lead the school on an interim basis, as Acting-Principal, from the start of the new school year in September pending the outcome of the recruitment process for a new Principal, with interviews taking place during the autumn term.
Mrs Hobbs (pictured below) has been integral to leading the schools' development during the past 3 years and is finishing her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
We will, of course, endeavour to keep you updated as the recruitment matter progresses.
Yours sincerely
Chris Schofield
Chair of Governors, One In A Million Free School
