Guests were treated to a delicious spread of sweets and savouries, lots of prize giveaways, and a beautiful souvenir gift bag full of lovely beauty treats.  There was even a vintage photo booth, with groups and individuals striking a pose for the camera, and getting to take their photo memories away with them.   New for this year, we welcomed Mark Gregory, host at Mark Your Occasion, who did a great job of compèring the whole afternoon, and brought some fantastic fun and games to the proceedings!

Kirsty Moon, long-standing charity supporter and guest: “Such a lovely way to raise funds for a fantastic local charity! A brilliant afternoon with games, prizes, lovely food and fizz!”.

There were some big winners on our famous luxury raffle, with a table full of incredible prizes kindly donated by some of our most-valued supporters. Almost every table ended up having at least one winner and the runners delivering the prizes were kept very busy!  The silent auction was also incredibly well-supported, with people able to bid on a variety of interesting items ranging from a personal training package to a bespoke pet portrait, from a spectacular one-of-a-kind painting to spa days. The generosity of the bidders was amazing, and we are truly grateful.

Hamera Bano, guest: “Although I spend many hours working and helping others, I was truly blessed to have the privilege of supporting and learning more about the local charity, One In A Million. I had the wonderful opportunity to do so while enjoying afternoon tea at The Midland Hotel”.

It was also a fantastic opportunity for people to find out what is happening in the charity this year, which is the 20th anniversary of the charity’s launch.  Guests were able to hear why now, more than ever, their support is crucial if we are to continue serving the children and young people of Bradford.

Amanda Mahoney, One In A Million: “We were so thrilled to have so many of our wonderful supporters there on Saturday, all coming together to have fun and support the vital work of One In A Million.  The need in our communities is greater now than ever, and having so many people in the room who want to make a difference means so much to the charity. We want to thank all our guests for coming and making it a day to remember”.
