The One In A Million Charity Business Lunch, ‘Building for Success Bradford 2024’ returned for its 8th year on Thursday 21st March at The Midland Hotel, Bradford. Sponsored by; Business Enterprise Fund, Complete IT Systems, LCF Law and Lily, this years event was well-supported by 160 guests from the Bradford Business Community.
There was a great atmosphere in the room as old friends and new enjoyed networking and a fabulous two course lunch, served in the magnificent Princes Ballroom by the Midland Hotels wonderful catering team.
Wayne Jacobs, Chief Executive and Co-founder and Craig McHugh, Charity Executive of One In A Million charity, opened the afternoon’s proceedings by welcoming guests, speakers and sponsors and giving an update on the growing work of our charity.
We were grateful to our fabulous speakers once again this year; Kersten England CBE Chair of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, Mark Cowgill Bradford Chamber President and Dr Lorraine O'Donnell, Chief Executive of Bradford Council, who each gave updates on the many exciting developments and projects taking place in Bradford.
The overwhelming feeling following our inspiring speaker presentations is that; “Bradford – this is our time” as brilliantly summed by Wayne Jacobs!
Congratulations to Kelly Allen from HR Dept Bradford, who was our winner of an iPad 9th Generation in the game of Heads and Tails, kindly donated by Ben Gregg of Complete IT Systems.
